Dessert from Brazil: Pave de Limao

What is it?

This is a very easy dessert very popular in Brasil, and so easy to make. You must choose cookies to do it, rather vanillas ones that absorb well milk. Whether you prefer a large dessert or a smaller one, it’s up to you to add more cookies.

Recipe

Ingredients:
1 can of condensed milk
½ half pound cream of milk
2 limes,
1/3 cup of milk

Preparation:

Grind the limes peel, then cut them in halves and pass them through the juicer, as to make enough juice. Save the grounded peel apart.
In a large bowl put the condensed milk, the cream of milk and the limes juice and beat with an electric mixer some ten minutes, until it gets thick.
In another bowl, put the milk, and soak each one of the cookies. If you need more milk, according to the number of cookies you plan to use, add more milk.

In a serving dish put a layer of soaked -in -milk cookies, then a layer of the cream you have prepared. Repeat this operation until you have as many layers as wanted.
Over the last layer, decorate with the grounded lime’s peel. Refrigerate this overnight, and you will get the best of the desserts, just delicious, serving it with very cold white wine!
