Natilla Paisa from Colombia
2 liters milk
½ pound molasses
1 pound sugar
1 pound cornstarch
2 teaspoons cinnamon
½ cup grated coconut
Put the milk with the molasses, the sugar and ½ the cinnamon
in a pan. Once it starts boiling, add the cornstarch dissolved in
½ cup of that same milk. Move constantly with the wooden spoon.
Let this boil for about 15 minutes, moving it most of the time.
Before taking it off the fire, add the grated coconut.
Serve this in the dessert dishes, each sprinkled with the cinnamon!
