Maracuya Dessert from Colombia
Colombian desserts are so much varied and always very sweet. Colombians
love desserts and sweet ones too!
Most of their desserts contain fruits, as in their country they have
a huge offer of fresh fruits, and many of those fruits are unknown
to other countries. And they make a very good use of their fruits,
maybe in salads or cooked in different ways.
¾ cup of maracuya juice
1cup of sugar
Grated peel of one lemon
1 ½ cups of cream of milk
2 cups milk
Beat the egg whites until stiff. Add the sugar to make a meringue.
Apart mix well the cream, the milk, and the egg yolks.
Place this second mixture in the serving dish, covering it with the
meringue. On top sprinkle the grated lemon rind.
Put the dish in the refrigerator from one day to next. It should be
served one day after it is prepared.
And with a glass of cold white wine….delicious!
